Regional Horse Extension Specialist for University of Maryland Cooperative Extension

Kristen Wilson

Kristen Wilson (B.S. in Animal Science–Equine Industry, M.S. in Extension Education, U. of Florida), another Maryland native, is an Extension Horse Specialist. Her research identified needs of adult horse owners for Florida Horse Extension. Kristen provides statewide leadership for the Maryland 4-H Horse Program, coordinating equine contests and educational programs, and teaches equine courses within the Institute of Applied Agriculture’s Agricultural Business Management Program.
